Mort

I have felt ambivalence about M. Mortier: still, this is a tough, if not entirely unexpected, day for opera in Manhattan.  City Opera was close to my heart even before my happy years in residence there: I hope I speak for much of New York in wishing the company the best possible way back to the future.
